MAROCK
This is a render test of a title sequence graphic for a film called "Marock". The basic geometry was modelled in 3dsmax and the textures were painted from scratch in Photoshop. I spent a couple days in a junk yard taking photos of rust, scratches and faded paint. I then use all the photo material to comp the diffuse, specular, reflection and displacement maps.
Burning House
This was a little loop that I animated in Flash. It was part of an online invitation to my house—warming party!
Blue Eyes
A little excersise for motion tracking. This was DV footage color-corrected, animated and comped in Combustion.
Missle Over Water
Another compositing excersise. The background is stock footage and the missle was modelled and animated in 3dsmax. All elements were comped in Combustion. I paid particular attention to the motion blur and the reflection of the missle in the water.
Missle In Clouds
A continuation of the previous excersise. Again, the background is stock footage and the missle was modelled and animated in 3dsmax. All elements were comped in Combustion.
Missle Over Water
Another compositing excersise. The background is stock footage and the missle was modelled and animated in 3dsmaxlittle excersise for motion tracking. All elements were comped in Combustion. I paid particular attention to the motion blur and the reflection of the missle in the water.
Ring
This was some test footage I created early on for MATRIX product tests. Modelling and texturing were done in 3dsmax.
Particle Vortex
This was publicity footage that I created for CHROME Imaging's MATRIX and 3D Particle System (3DPS) product demo. The subject was shot on bluescreen and keyed. The background was modelled in 3dsmax. Particle effects and compositing was done MATRIX and 3DPS.
Roof Top
Another segment of CHROME Imaging's product demo. Collision planes were matched to the perspective of the roof top and side wall. Particle emitters were animated over top.
Glowball
Another excersise. Create a glowing, gelatinous ball and animated lighting and shadows (3dsmax).
Stellar Explosion
A particle explosion created in MATRIX 3DPS.
Candle Flame
Another part of the CHROME Imaging product demo. A challenging effect created with custom particle texture, animated texture colors and particle dynamics (3DPS).
Piston
Random 3D animation excersise.
Missle In Clouds, v1
The first attempt of the missle in the clouds - using 3PDS for the flame.
Tattoo Removal
This was an excersise in image restoration. The tattoo was removed manually, in Photoshop (no healing brush used!!)
Olympic Mascot I
Around the time of the Athens Olympics, I modelled and animated the mascot (Athinà) in 3dsmax (cartoon shader used).
Olympic Mascots II
Both of the Athens 2004 mascots modelled (3dsamx) and comped in Photoshop.
Render Tests
A series of render tests in Cornell Boxes. This was before global illumination rendering was standard in 3d packages ;)
Misc.
General play with 3d modelling, for my school or at home.
Attends...
A 3D version of the two main characters in the comic book "Attends..." by Jason. I created these for a projection during the introduction of Attends...
